About me:
EARTHWORKS (www.earthworksaction.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting communities and the environment from the destructive impacts of mineral development, in the U.S. and worldwide.
We do this by working with communities and grassroots groups to reform government policies, improve corporate practices, influence investment decisions and encourage responsible materials sourcing and consumption.
To join the EARTHWORKS E-Action list, send an email to action@earthworksaction.org..
Who I'd like to meet: Communities, activists, jewelry buyers and retailers, students, businesses, landowners, musicians, photographers, investors, hunters and anglers who want to help us create a world in which we all tred more lightly on the earth. Join us today by sending an email to action@earthworksaction.org!
This past weekend, several members of the Welsh Foundation celebrated Earth Day by volunteering at Tamarind Elementary in Fontana, CA. Over 400 local volunteers participated in the event, which was organized by Hands On Inland Empire and United Way.
As Earth Day approaches, let’s all remember that every little thing we do really matters- every bottle or can we recycle, everything we reuse and every time we help to reduce waste- we are helping to make our planet clean and healthy for future generations!
There is a wonderful eco-book for kids at this web site:

Yesterday, April 14, 2007, was National Day of Climate Action. Over a thousand cities across the nation held events to raise awareness about global warming. To take part in this event, several members of the Welsh Foundation joined a group of local volunteers and planted trees at Washington Park in Riverside, CA.
I just read your update in my email. You people do a wonderful service for the Earth. Someday I am going to do some kind of Non Profit Calander or something to help.
