Reckless Rock and Roll: Earwig is a high energy, stripped down, underground-rock, three piece with emotionally intelligent lyrics. Melodic guitar blasts w/ heart-on-yr-sleeve lyrics and vocals.
Tune in as Earwig begins their rise to the top of the Rock 'n' Roll mountain, all while being thrown into the thick of a mind-control scheme by megalomanical record executives who want to control the world!
Lizard McGee (guitar), Matt Wagner (bass) and Justin Crooks (drums) struggle as an aspiring garage band that is discovered by a shady Major Label record boss, who runs an industry powerhouse. The Major Label record company soon begins grooming them for overnight success. Unbeknownst to the band, the Major Label record company’s real intent is to brainwash young people, with subliminal messages inserted in CDs to assure a healthy record sales. Never fear! The Earwig crew soon latch on to the real deal behind their new label and are forced to choose between their burgeoning rock-star success and doing what's right for future music lovers.
****************************************************************
Earwig is a high energy, stripped down, underground-rock trio. Natives of Columbus, Ohio, they frequently tour the Midwest from Chicago to New York.
Working at a steady pace over the last several years, the band has been in no hurry to sell themselves short for any mythical big break with a major label. Putting out a series of critically acclaimed but hard to find albums on "micro-indie" record label LFM Records, the band has gathered a small, but ferociously loyal, nationwide fan base. With the release of their new CD "Center Of The Earth", that fan base is growing more quickly than anyone expected.
Known for great songwriting and remembered for their spontaneous and reckless live shows, Earwig has long been one of independent music’s best kept secrets.

You know you're a hardcore Earwig fan when: You march through rain and mud, your new, now dirty Adidas in hand, with your two best friends and stay even after a half hour delay to see 'em. It was a good show this afternoon at Comfest. It seems I've got my friend, Kayla, in to you guys now. She was impressed.
My Brand NEW Song is now up! I did all the parts except the drums! "You-Me-Here-Gone" Check it out! Ralph Miller of R & M Studios! How have you guys been doing???
Hey Lizard! I saw you at The Raconteurs show...it was amazing! Almost as amazing as your show at The Basement. Although I was a little sad you didn't play Japanese Girlfriend. :-( Next time!! :-)
Yo, Lizard. I know I told you like a year ago in the CD101 Big Room that I'd come to one of your shows. Well, I've got good news: I'll be there next Wednesday at The Basement to see you guys play (finally)! I have an exam the next morning, but screw it. You guys are worth it! I'm a man of my words, Mr. McGee. -- Cheers
ok i actually stopped by your lfm page, and read something about an accoustic lp? I have a few that i loved from your mad labs solo set. (wicked has personal meanings, and that bunny rabbits, shiny morning song has legendary status in my mind) but all in all I would like the hear Lorax accoustically if you can make that sound good without all the sound pedals and what not. Seriously dont know if that can be done though.
So my vote for bunny rabbits or shiny morning or whatever its called, and Lorax (only if you can make it sound good)
Oh and every good accoustic EP needs a cover...
I'm thinking "Pool shark" by sublime fits your style, not the message just a tribute to a good band that i think you would sound good covering :-D
He IS the coolest kid ever. I don't know where that came from with his nerd genes from me, and his jock genes from my ex. We DID have a cool mailman...
