It has been over a year now since we've released the Idyllic Life album, but we've been quite active during this time. We've been working on several projects including our next album that is nearly finished. We agreed with Soundmute Recordings to release an EP of our work between Idyllic Life and our next material. Easily Embarrassed is the electronic chill out project of brothers Nick (b. 1985) and Jeffrey van der Schilden (b. 1981) from the Netherlands. Focusing on noisy atmospheres, glitched beat work, psy-dub, acoustic elements and often ambitious synth work, we believe in diversity and freedom of sound. We don't hold strong roots within the "psychill" community, but we seem at times to be connected with it as our listeners also relate to that.
The project was founded on 08 July 2006 by Nick, Jeffrey and Peter Spaargaren (b. 1988), who is also known as Void Pointer, his solo electro/dance/techno project. The 3 of us worked together from 2 home studios located in Aalsmeer, releasing 2 free digital EPs around the internet in 2006, starting with "From Sunset Last Night to Sunrise this Morning" released on Flow (Sublogic Corporation, www.subco.org), followed by "Darkened Emotion", which was spread around the internet more freely for demonstration purposes.
Darkened Emotion was remastered and re-released on Cardamar Music (www.cardamar.com) in 2007 as promotional material for our (at that time) upcoming debut album "Idyllic Life"
Idyllic Life was released on 4 February 2008 on Cardamar Music. Advertised as psychill, despite being much more electro and melodic focused, rather than ethnic and harmonic, the album is well received as very "original", "trippy", "abstract" and "solid".
Peter has left the project as a constant member after the release of Idyllic Life. The EE project is now primarily run only by Nick and Jeffrey from their own home studio in Aalsmeer.

I was in Amsterdam Queensday, but we got there a bit late, we were at Bom Voyage and some other random things, but walking around mostly, then on a boat for two hours around 6-8 or so...
