East Anglia Anarchist Federation's Blurbs |
About me:
We are a group of anarchist-communists from East Anglia who are affiliated to the Anarchist Federation. The EAAF is a collective of class struggle anarchists from around East Anglia, whom believe in partaking in struggle against the ruling class within all realms of life.
As anarchist-communists, we believe that a decentralised system, free from hierarchy is vital for the full expression of the human species, as well as being highly desirable due to our natural desire for solidarity. For hierarchy to be expelled once and for all, capitalism and the state also needs to be abolished.
Capitalism is the economic system that allows the wealthy minority to compile the riches produced by us, the working class. It is us that produces the wealth that maintains the luxurious life of the bosses and upper class. The state only helps the rich consolidate their power over society.
We oppose the centralisation of power, as it inherently leads to inequality and bureaucracy. A state cannot be used to maximise freedom and is not a neutral force. This we have unfortunately already seen as intended ‘peoples states’ descended into totalitarian dictatorships in the forms of Soviet Russia and China.
“The individual anarchist can only do so much on her/his own. The feeling of isolation which capitalism imposes on the individual rebel can often lead to disillusionment and despair. Collective action in the shape of an anarchist group can accomplish far more whilst a national network constantly keeping militants informed and motivated……well who knows what we could achieve? Why not take the individual decision to take collective action with the Anarchist Federation?”- Aspects of Anarchism.
