Bio
The East Hill Bluegrass Band was formed in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, in 2001. The band is named after the East Hill neighborhood where the original band members hail from. East Hill soon became a mainstay of the Eau Claire music scene, starting out on the big front porch of an East Side Hill neighborhood home. Band rehearsals became concerts as people stopped by to hear them play. The band now plays around Wisconsin and Minnesota, performing at clubs and festivals. East Hill released its first CD, "Rim Rock Sessions", in November 2009. The East Hill Bluegrass Band combines two families into one tight, driving sound. Bob Bruce plays mandolin and sings lead vocals. Mary Bruce provides a rhythmic drive on the bass and sings high harmonies. Max Winkels plays banjo while brother Greg Winkels plays guitar and both sing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0lswx4xq6c -
