Eastside Military is a gathering of young talented artists from Long Island New York. Representing the East Coast the Eastside Military intends to not only make a name for Long Island in the Music Industry but to present an innovative and unique style with every artist on their roster. The Eastside Military (also the E$M or East Side Mili) was established in 2002, at this point the co-founders Atd & E-Reign were barley adolescents. The name Eastside Military simply comes from the groups’ intention to support the East Coast and their military measures pertaining to music. Eastside Military has also been referred to as an Army because of their organized group of many dedicated talents. E$M was created with the sole purpose to make an impact by deviating from the typical approach to making hip-hop music. As time progressed it became more apparent that what was being developed was a brand of artists who respectively make an uncommon, creative and exciting sound in multiple genres if not a new one in entirety. The E$M’s ability to produce commercial but meaningful music comes as a surprise to many because of their young age which at their first attempt at exposure was only 13+ (currently ranging from 17-23). Performing at many showcases, open mics, clubs, seminars and festivals (Greek fest 07, The Parrot, Don Hills, Advanced Music Seminar, L.I.F.E) the combination of youth and originality made many promoters, Observers and competing artists simply wonder “Who Are These Kids?” When embraced by the general public the Eastside’s sound has the capability to take the music world by storm. It is only a matter of time before the right opening allows the Eastside Military to display and deliver their evident potential to stardom.
