East_Texas_Bomers_Rollerderby
East Texas Bombers Rollerderby is an all female roller derby league originally formed in the summer of 2005. This league began skating in Tyler, Texas but has since gained access to rinks in 2 different locations Kilgore and Tyler. The East Texas Bombers will soon be a non-profit organization and will begin participating in many community activities and fundraisers, as well as making special appearances around the Tyler/Longview/Kilgore areas.

East Texas Bombers currently has about 9 female skaters, and are looking to fill the roster for this upcoming 2009 season. We are also looking for Referees, referees can be either Male or Female.
There is one team in this league and we are a travel team. This season the East Texas Bombers Bouted in non-sanction Bouts, but this up and coming 2009 we hope to have Sanctioned Bouts.

Roller Derby is a contact sport and can be highly athletic. A helmet, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards are required for the playing of this sport. Team members are required to purchase this equipment, however, we do work with those who cannot afford the equipment and The Bombers do have some "loaner" equipment.

Andrew was my son. We do something in his memory each year. This yr, with the suicide rates on a sharp incline, we have decided to promote suicide awareness and to raise money to help keep the suicide hotlines open 24 hrs a day.
On April 5th we are having a celebration and I truly hope you can come. Plz hand out as many fliers as you can and invite everyone you know, and don't know. Someone might really need this information, and we just don't know who that might be.
