.. ..The E. 3rd St. Ensemble has actually been around for the last 13 years basically rehearsing as a workshop band with founding members David Gould, Matthew Heyner, and Sabir Mateen rehearsing most Wednesday afternoons/evenings for 10 years. Heyner left a couple of years ago to do other things with the door always open for return. Clif Jackson replaced him and Matt Lavelle joined 4 years ago, and now within the last 2 years has transistioned into a working band with Gould, Mateen, Jackson and Lavelle as it's foundation and main band... ..Musicians who passed through within time and occasionally still play with the band are Ras Moshe, Steve Swell, Anders Niellson, and of the past, Gary Miles, Paul Hoskins, Francois Grillot, James Duncan, Daniel Carter, Micah Gauch, David Nuss, Nicole Vergel de Dios, Ruben Radding, Laurie Hockman and many others... ..-- Sabir Mateen..
