East Van Digital presents the twelfth release in our series of artist EPs, Self Evident "Platinum EP".
Kicking things off with proper fanfare is "Shake It", one of the funkier tunes in the Self Evident canon, followed by "Platinum", a bass heavy jam with tasteful female vocal chops. Things go deep and lush with the atmospherics of "Complex Emotions", while Self Evident takes himself to task, dropping and chopping his own hit "Set My Soul On Fire", from the EP of the same name.
Also included here are 2 exclusive remixes of his collab with HxdB, "Hot Mustard", re-imagined by bass music alumni Blind Prophet (South Fork Sound) with an upbeat garage flavoured remix, and Dan Solo (Piranha Piranha, Modern Math), who drops a smooth and gorgeous version of his own.

East Van Digital presents the ninth release in our artist series, the Travel Music EP from 22:22, featuring 4 original tunes that traverse the world of bass music. East Van Digital presents the 10th EP in our artist series, Tree Elves 'The Elves Know Best EP'. Every track on this release is a finely crafted journey, weaving elements of techno and house together seamlessly. "A Familiar Face" starts with a smooth arpeggio and leads the listener into a subtle acid line, while "Love Circuitry" is a deep tech house tune that rolls forwards with delay soaked synths. "The Elves Know Best" is a dark and punchy number with a menacing acid line that bubbles underneath, and we close with "Troubled Dreams", combining soothing pads and a driving techno sound.

East Van Digital presents Andy Clockwork's 'KayCee'. Originally released on Clocktower Records, we've teamed up with Andy to revisit his original and revitalize it with a fresh remastering and brand new remixes.
Standing tall alongside Andy's original slice of underground house is a shuffling garage remix from My Electronic Friends, with all the deep bass kicks and floating keys that are the trademarks of a classic.
Myles Away turns up the heat on his version, a hybrid of electro house and dubstep, complete with dirty synth-laden breakdowns and an invigorating bounce. Ryan Wells rounds off this release with a warm hip hop dub, topped off with dreamy synth work and smart percussion.

Feedback:
Mat The Alien
(Discosynthetique Remix) "really good big ep" 10/10
Cut La Whut
(Original Mix) "The original is a house hop track thats drippin game and a mean half time breakdown in the middle. The Dirtnapper Remix brings in that DnB jungle jump up feel, filled with filtered bass lines and some lyrical flow over the top that makes me reminisce about the glory days of jump up. The Yan Zombie remix slows it way down chopped and screw style, while 22:22 keeps the hip hop remix in the mid 80's on the bpm tip. Discosynthetique gives this one a breakbeat re-rub with a bouncy flow that rides the track nicely, especially when it drops to a halftime beat with a funky synth floating thru the breakdown."
Flatland Funk
(Discosynthetique Remix) "WHAT A SICK REMIX BY DISCOSYNTHETIQUE!! Supporting!"
Audit
(Yan Zombie Xtra Fly Remix) "Yans my man on this one, gangster as fuk!"
City & Mixxxy
(Discosynthetique Remix) "Cool release....a bunch of dif flavour all over....big up this"
Ben Chemikal
(Orignal Remix) "Great EP! Really feeling the Original for the big old school wobble throwback, while the 22:22 Remix is heavy with the crunked up lazer vibes. Also really big on the Discosynthetique remix :)"
Freedom Danish
(Discosynthetique Remix) "Really a fun party tune that I will deffo rock in various situations this spring!"
DJ Cure
(Yan Zombie Xtra Fly Remix) "Feeling the original + the Yan Zombie remix."
Whoa Grenade
(Discosynthetique Remix) "Discosynthetique killed it! Love that hat pattern and the vocal cuts are boss too."
Jon Lee
(Original Mix) "Dope!!!"
Kristian Littmann
(Discosynthetique Remix) "I like the breaks in the Discosynthetique remix...Keep up the good work!"
Trevor Refix
(Dirtnapper Remix) "The Dirtnapper remix is refreshingly dope for a d+b remix. I'll be playing out the original even though I don't eat pork."
The Stunt Man
(Original Mix) "Nice one...Keep pumping them out!"

East Van Digital presents our first release for 2012, a hip hop track from Vancouver producer Self Evident featuring Chadio.
'Oh Baby Baby' is a jam with both classy beats & street smart lyrics. Included in this release is an instrumental, 2 remixes and a bonus track.
Myles Away drops an absolute monster of a remix, a peak time dubstep heater, while Yan Zombie flavours it up by adding a nasty synth bass to his mix.
To top it all off, we've added another tune, Self Evident's 'Run The Track', as an exclusive bonus track to this release.

East Van Digital is proud to present our next artist EP, featuring the multi-talented Timothy Wisdom. With solid roots in the Funky Breaks scene, Timothy Wisdom takes an interesting detour into the world of Melodic Bass Music.Fusing the influences of West Coast Glitch-Hop with his background in Hip-Hop and Funk, The Fade EP is a uniquely flavoured collection of tunes that has proven to move audiences from Canada to Europe and Australia.
The opening build into the massive bass drop makes I Want Out worth the whole price of admission. Pretty on the top and heavy on the bottom. Just how we like 'em. Represent The Real features some interesting percussion that slams into a West Coast Glitch-Hop beat. Perfect for the crunk heads. Epic synth work fused with Hip-hop beats makes Flutterbyte the bass of the future, while The Fade, a crowd favourite, draws up from a slow build into a solid bass wallop that totally delivers!

Sharps
"Great sonic design, rolling beats, big sound. Solid!"
DJ Outlier (Funk Hunters)
"The one and only Mr.Wisdom flexes his production skills with an all original departure into the melodic bass side of things. I've personally witnessed the pretty layers of synths in all 4 of these tunes win over crowds...The Fade is a huge standout, but Represent The Real gets my tip of the hat for it's glitched out hip hop vibes."
Qdup Foundation
"Represent The Real is a cool track...well done."
Moto Masa
"The Fade EP does a nice job of combining complex modern rhythm programming with good old skool synth sounds reminiscent of the late 80s. I particularly like Flutterbyte with it's hard snare, and super funky bassline."
Sturdy
"A quality EP, every track on it is dope. BIG ups to EVD for this one."

Moto Masa (Art of Beatz)
"Many people feel that dubstep has played itself out over the past couple of years, doing what so many electronic sub-genres have done devolving into a rhythmically homogeneous porridge with little distinction from track to track. The Librarian's Arctic Swallow EP, however, proves that with a little sensitivity to sound design, dubstep still can be deeply multi-layered and textural."
Willisist (Shah DJs)
"This is just the kind of dubstep I'm looking for. Good for the warmup, cooldown, or thick in the middle of some hypnotic heaviness."

East Van Digital presents our 13th artist EP, Vinyl Fixx "Mentality EP".
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, this dj & producer creates straight up, old school influenced drum & bass...the dirty stuff, with well crafted rhythms and pure filth synth lines.
No warning shots here, the title track Mentality goes straight for the jugular, innocently luring you in with a beautiful piano melody before amping up into a menacing monster. Grade A Hustla fires up using detuned guitar riffs alongside sampled hip hop vocals before kicking into frenetic bass stabs. Keeping up the pace, Bone Crushin' is a nightmare inducing soundtrack that will stomp floors to dust. The final track, Cold Blooded, delivers the pressure, with thick atmosphere and plenty of spine tingling sub bass.

Album design by Ian Galdy and Daniel Kairoff.East Van Digital presents our sixth artist LP, Don Winsley's "Rise Of The Weasel King", a futuristic collection of bass driven music.
With elements of dubstep, electro, glitch, hip hop, and even classical music mixed in, "Rise Of The Weasel King" will serve both the dance floors and the thinking man's ipod equally. Don Winsley's music has always been particularly hard to classify and this becomes even more apparent when viewing his musical background. The 10 track debut album also features collaborations with Cherub, Peter Kairoff, and Conque$t.
According to Don Winsley, "I make baroque dance music. I've always had a strong interest in classical theory, I love the melodic and rhythmic complexity of it. My father is an internationally accomplished pianist and I grew up learning a lot about music and playing a wide variety of instruments. I feel that electronic music is one of the most exciting avenues for creative expression we have today, because the palate of sounds is virtually limitless. I like to translate the complexity and intricacy of classical music into something that is high energy, exciting, heavy, and fun. Imagine an evil weasel playing a harpsichord, bathed in strobe lights while a massive crowd of people rises and falls, jumping in unison. I wanted to evoke that image in people's heads with this LP"

East Van Digital presents our fifth full length release, the self-titled debut of Wepa!"Wepa!" is atypical, curious and often inconceivable. An embracing of Central and South-American styles like Cumbia (in it's many variations), Hypnotic Andean, Latin Reggae and Dancehall, Cumbahton, Rebajada and more.
These styles are then combined with the potential of electronic music, by two producers who constantly strive to create unexpected and refreshing flavours by mixing and transmuting sources, styles, techniques and attitudes in a way that creates something so much more than the sum of it's parts, all in a joyful effort to leap boundaries and create new connections and possibilities, both artistically and musically.
Melding beats and bass pan flute, producers Self Evident and Gameboy crafted this album to represent independent artistic communities like their own and to show solidarity for friends and collaborators in other parts of the world who are creating and promoting new ideas and style in their own communities.

East Van Digital presents EVD Bass!MC. Vocalist. Producer. Musician. DJ. ill-esha excels in all of these areas and consistently has multiple tracks in the dubstep & glitch hop charts, while working with & performing alongside a who's who list of North America's top bass music producers. Here at EVD we are thrilled to have scooped up 'Treasures', a summertime glitch funk bass jam, an exclusive from ill-esha, featuring Vancouver MC Chadio and the guitar work of Damon Morris.
Kir Mokum is a pivotal member of SHAHdjs, Vancouver's most recognized d'n'b / bass music crew; his tune 'Cicada' is full of complex rhythms with monstrously dark synth stabs lurking about in the shadows, all while retaining it's smokey jazz influences.
Known for her performances both on the decks & as a live PA artist, veteran Calgary dj & producer Honeey 'Misselaineous' Mustard showcases her unique brand of drum and bass melded with techno soul. Her tune has a rolling hypnotic bassline that will seduce you; one moment you'll feel uplifted, the next, plunging into the depths of 'LaLand'.
A recent addition to Van City, originally from the UK south, 22:22 is equally influenced by both his years as a metal drummer & the sounds of d'n'b & dubstep. His latest track 'Launch Riddim' is a slammin' glitch hop tune & a bass-filled monster that can easily demolish any dancefloor.

East Van Digital unleashes it's 5th single, "Charles Cosby", from Vancouver dj & producer Wes Beanz. Wes has been mad busy lately, tearing it up with heated live performances, full of his smoking originals & remixes; his latest is a deep & dirty electrostep stomper. At the forefront of the moombahton scene is A-Mac, who's remixes have been played out by the likes of Diplo, Tittsworth & The Smalltown DJ's; here he provides a late-night mid-tempo number, equal parts groove & grind.
With releases on Celestial, Dot Dot & Filter Music to name a few, Ben Colmen is a rising star in the tech house scene, having cut his teeth in numerous techno clubs in eastern Europe; his tight production sound definitely makes him one to watch out for.
DJ Wood is nothing short of a local legend, his live shows (often alongside DJ Soo) are peak time party rockers, fueled by hip hop, funk & drum n bass. His remix is a serious mid-tempo thumper.
At the top of the international electro house scene, one producer rises above all the others...Frederik Mooij. Label head at the wildly successful Loudroom Recordings, Frederik has turned in a seriously thick remix that will light up the dancefloor.
