STUNNING LIMITED EDITION 4 CD BOXSET OF KILLING JOKES TWO HISTORIC SOLD OUT LONDON SHOWS
'The Gathering 2008' saw the original Killing Joke line up play live in London at two historic sold out concerts for the first time since 1982. This CD limited edition boxset packs both concerts together for the very first time. Both concerts are presented in full with no overdubs, professional recorded and even contain a brand new track for the event 'Time Wave'. The original tribal sound of Killing Joke that catapulted the band into the early 80s is heard here at its very best, and anyone who was lucky enough to a have attended will confirm these really were a truly one off set of concerts. With original drummer Big Paul Ferguson & Youth back on board, the first two classic albums 'Killing Joke' & 'What's This For!' are played for the first time EVER in their entirety. Also preformed over the two nights are many rare tracks that have not been heard for the best part of 25 years! These two stunning concerts are also available separately as two double disc sets (EWO040CD & EWO041CD).
Jerry Kandiah came to England from the Cayman Islands in the late 80’s where he met Hedge Seel and later formed the melodic death-metal outfit Necromonica in 1991. After several years touring across London’s underground venues and a session on BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show, the band’s interests turned to warehouse squat parties and outdoor raves. Kandiah then formed Arkatek with Necromonica guitarist and churned out acid techno tunes on their own label, Skyride Records as well as others including Stay Up Forever and Cluster.
The TRIBAZIK trio was born in London in early 2004 with the enforcement of Paris-born composer Blaise Merino. Producer, re-mixer and experimental bass player, Merino relocated to London to pursue his vision of an ultimate distinctive three-piece.
Inspired by an eclectic taste in music, TRIBAZIK’s aim is to create an energetic, solid sound with REAL organic drums and bass. Focusing on live music, their influences range from avant-garde rock, electro, techno, thrash and roots to name but a few….

At last, Killing Joke’s classic, ‘The Original Unperverted Pantomime’ is released in its FULL glory for the first time ever! With a TOTALLY unreleased DVD! Digital re-mastered & includes an unreleased bonus DVD ‘Live in USA’ from 1981 containing 11 tracks. 3 live tracks available for the first time EVER on CD! (Pssyche, Turn to Red & Bodies) Originally released in 1983 as a 2000 only individually numbered cassette, ‘The Original Unperverted Pantomime’ contains one of the earliest Killing Joke gigs recorded from 1979 that includes many songs that never got released like ‘Your Being Followed’,’ Malicious Boogie’, ‘Animal’, ‘Nuclear Boy’ and the rarely played Sex Pistols track ‘Bodies’. Also included is a 4-track radio session from 1982.
The exact source of these recordings is a mystery; like some ancient space debris found floating in the cosmos; nobody is quite sure how they came to be. The best assumption is that they were somehow gleaned from a radio using the most primitive of recording devices. This is testament to their originator as the sound quality, though not up to BBC standards, is certainly very good. This CD really shows Hawkwind at a formative stage, some of tracks recorded before they were fully one year old. It was only in August 1969 when “Group-X” as they were first called, had subjected an unsuspecting audience at the All Saints Hall in Ladbroke Grove to what was to become their trademark charged throbbing outbursts. This is reflected in a tendency to have long jamming passages in the tracks; a technique they perfected during their Space Ritual phase. Essentially the album is in two parts; the first six tracks coming from their first ever BBC sessions recorded between 1970 and 1971. The second half comprises of part of a recorded gig at Colchester Technical College in February 1971.
