Easy Records was started by DJ Phantasy in 1995.
The label was set up because Phantasy found that he was releasing tracks on white label or on other peoples labels and there was no continuity to them. After much deliberation, he decided to start Easy Records. The name came from the fact that every time he met someone or spoke to them he would greet them by saying "Easy". He seeked advise from DJ Hype, Danny Breaks and a few other DJ's/Producers and they thought that it would be appropriate. The Artists that have appeared on Easy since it was launched are DJ Hype, Pascal, Alex Reece, Ray Keith, Hopa & Bones, DJ Probe, MC Fats, DJ Gemini, Disruptaz, Stakka & Skynet, DJ Reality, Mikee B (Dreem Teem), Jack Smooth, Sonia Redd, Shodan and Generation Dub. There have been other guest appearances but too many to mention.

With a backlog of releases ready to hit the streets, the crew have been hard in the studio and listening to demo's all day everyday, looking for the next stars in Drum n Bass. Currently working on Album projects, things are really hectic in the Easy stables. The first Album is now out on the streets in the form of a mix CD which includes some of the labels biggest tracks over the last year and also forthcoming on single release. This album went out under the guise of the "Urbanthology" series and it's not just a bland dj mix. It's actually been catered for your enjoyment using 4 decks & 2 cdj's, so check it out.
The following Album will be a new Drum n Bass Album where all Easy Artists will be looking to slam down some new badboy rhythms. There will also be collaborations with other Drum n Bass Artists like Skibadee, Shabba D, Fatman D and Riddla plus many more. So things are looking exiting already. With the label moving the Drum n Bass sound forward, we have lots more tracks coming and we have also been doing some live shows and club nights, under our sister guise, DEVOTION.

For those that attended the World Tour, thanx and watch out for our monthly night in Brighton @ Concorde 2. And don't forget our events in Kavos and Germany amoungst others.

For any Artists that want to submit their tracks to our A&R Dept, please send them via aim to easyrecordsuk. Please try to send tracks that you feel will fit into the style of our label. We have had hundreds of tracks sent through, some great but not really the style for Easy.
