About me:
The Easy Street Players got their start in the hot summer of 2005 when they unveiled two spectacular revivals of well-loved comic fare; "Barefoot in the Park" by Neil Simon and "Steel Magnolias" by Robert Harling. Both shows opened at the Athenaeum Theatre to roaring laughter, critical acclaim and enthusiastic audience support.
Founded by Artistic Director EJ VanderVoort along with Mollie Dinstbier, Easy Street Players is the culmination of a life-long dream to start a theatre company that would bring the gift of theatre to a diverse community while at the same time creating, developing and sustaining strong relationships with the community and each other.
In this time we have had over 100 artist work with us, many coming back over and over again. When you come to see a show on Easy Street you are supporting a group of artists working without ego’s and pretension. Living on Easy Street means living fun with friends.
