02 Academy Headliner - 28/10/09
'A wicked little snake charmer soaked in cowpunk blues.'
... & The five-minute plus “Chrysanthemum Blues” returns to the fuzz guitar that started off the record with a chunky hook and sonic drum punch guaranteed to shiver your bones. Already turning dates with Red Light Company, blues-legend Mike Pini and The Doors Live, Eat A Peach are ripe for the pickin’. Eat A Peach Are a 3 Piece Blues Based, Rock Band from Liverpool, UK.
Formed in the summer of 2008 with a passion, a sound, and a determination like no other, Eat A Peach have supported, headlined, and blown audiences away in venues around Liverpool to firmly establish themselves as one of the hottest bands in city's unsigned music scene.
From Barfly To Bumper, 02 Academy to Korova, Zanzibar to Baby Blue, the band always leave their audience truly satisfied with an electric live performance, and are currently looking to expand their fanbase with gig bookings around the North West.
The band cemented their status in the Winter of 2008, when they recorded their raw, but electric debut ep, 'The Smokehouse Sessions' and headlined the barfly club in Liverpool, to a sold out crowd for the Launch Party, leading onto much bigger things for the band.
Eat A Peach have added ther latest recording, 'Viola' to the myspace page, replacing all other older recordings, to demonstrate the fresher sound of the band. The band recently headlined 02 academy Liverpool for the Single Launch Party for 'Viola', and it was without a doubt the best gig to date.
A dvd is currently being edited of this show, courtesy of abflipproductions, along with other merchandise which will be available at future gigs.
The band are currently working on the rest of the tracks to feature on our forthcoming EP release, due to be completed by late december 2009, and are looking forward to another exciting year.
For booking/gig information on Eat A Peach please message the band on the myspace page
Thanks for the support, see you on the road.

They will remind you of a bit of Elvis with a taste of Janis Joplin, and The Sex Pistols all in one sound.
They are a true mixture of the pop culture of today, yesterday, and of tomorrow. I give them 10 Kudos.' Jeffrey Rubin, Banana Peel Radio - Vancouver, Canada.

'The Smokehouse Sessions - some of it is balls out rock and roll, some of it is more trippy psychedelic sounding. A great mixture of vocal lines and guitar hooks. A great record.'
- Barfly Liverpool.
'With a twinge of psychedelia and a thick layer of blues, the on stage performance brings life to the retro vibe of Eat A Peach. They are a seriously grooving band.' Glasswerk.co.uk
