Chris "K" of Pro Critic Radio - Colorado Music Asscoiation - "Allman Brothers twins really I think, too marvelous to listen to..." "Eat A Peach honors the Allman Brothers as the prodigal child, bringing back and re-energizing a core sound and attitude within this time honored genre"
Illinois Entertainer - "the members of Eat A Peach are all sterling musicians who ride dual guitar trips with ease. The soloists are all imaginative and energetic and play like they mean it on the boogie blues and blues-rock that dominates this disc..."
The Times - Local Scene - "This groups full length debut, Turbulence & Thunder, is a thick, greasy slab of outstanding southern-fried blues rock that is delivered with incredible feeling and a real depth of playing. Rich, vibrant musicianship and emotive vocals are coupled with production that is as crisp as an autumn morning."
CD Spins - David Allen Buco - "Eat A Peach proves they can write some truly impressive material worthy of radio's attention (are you programmers out there listening?) on a national level... Eat A Peach raises the bar here, bringing back a great old sound with a fresh new perspective and energy..."
THE TIMES - Tom Lounges - "Stellar playing in the studio and on stage seems to be the trademark of this exceptionally fine group."
"It's a rough road without inspiration and total dedication" ~C. Sanders
A perfect blend of Southern Rock, Blues Rock & Rock N Roll...
a sound that they refer to as, Swamp Rock'n Boogie!"
Every now and then, fate graces the world of music and brings together a combination
of natural talent that stands out among todays noise and confusion. Eat A Peach was born
to bring a modern concept to the high standards of the classic rock sound. Melodic guitar harmonies,
soaring keyboard solos and dynamic rhythms weave in and out of their
collection of down-to-earth original creations.
Eat A Peach began to take form in 1995 when founding member Curt Sanders and a group of musicians got together with the intent of paying tribute to one of their many influences. Steadily growing as a independent band, this group of well-rounded, multi-diversified musicians began adding their own original material into their shows as they entertained at local establishments, benefits, festivals and private parties throughout Indiana and Illinois.
With the completion of their 1999 debut CD, Turbulence & Thunder came the opportunity
to open for such great artists as Carlos Santana, The Marshall Tucker Band,
Roger Waters and Blue Oyster Cult.
They have also had the privilege to work with such production companies as
SFX Entertainment, Jam Productions and Limited Access Entertainment.
Keeping their roots held firm in southern flavored, bluesy rock, Eat a Peach has broken new ground with
Bound to Shine, adding new dimension to already fertile territory and giving them the opportunity to tour the Midwest & South Eastern USA including a performance on The Chicago FOX Bandstand
at The Annual Taste of Chicago, Daytona Beach BikeWeek and recently as the opening support act for Jakob Dylan &
The Wallflowers at the Star Plaza Theatre in Merrillville, Indiana, Jimmie Van Zant, Trick Pony and Southern Rockers, Jackyl.
Bound to Shine is the second release from "The Peach" and reflects their
solid commitment to the spirit of music and the passions it yields.
Eat A Peach has won several local and regional awards including,
"Most Promising Artist of 2000" and Top 3 Artists of 2001
at the Annual Midwest Music Awards. Eat A Peach has been found gracing the front cover of many national and international music magazines and have been voted the No.2 Band and CD in France with Gov't Mule in the No.1 slot.
One thing is certain, Eat A Peach music is addictive, bringing fans back for more with songs written and performed to perfection. From mellow jams to danceable rockers, theyve captured the spirit of music.
