About me:
DAD’S Sandwich Shop is a small family owned and operated business in Sacramento, California, that has been providing quality food and personal service since 2004. Located in what was once a seedy, crime ridden location, they now occupy a clean and inviting space that is rapidly becoming a hub of downtown Sacramento.
Although they claim to be predominately a “Sandwich
Shop” featuring twenty-seven selections that are both familier and unique, they also offer fantastic fresh salads, homemade soups that change daily, a handful of house-prepared bakery items, as well as enticing specials that highlight the best of the season from local farmers’ markets.
The three primary laborers, Zac and Alison, who are
husband and wife, and Zac’s father, Sam, (you can call him “Dad”) got the idea to go into business together in early 2003.
They literally dropped what they were doing and turned a depressing public phone and graffiti adorned hole in the wall into the ever-growing success you see today. While all three partners work extremely hard in their own right, they each extend credit to the support they receive from family, friends and their rapidly climbing number of regulars and customer/ fan base.
So drop by soon, call ahead if you like, and experience joy that is DAD’S. You might even get to meet a local celebrity... Dad himself!
