It's all about Barbecue.

I'm not talking about big chain barbecue with boiled meat floating in massive amounts of sickly sweet sauce.

I'm talking about honest to goodness real barbecue.

Starting with whole cuts of raw meats seasoned minimally but perfectly. Then smoked in a real smoker for many hours on end using only dried mesquite wood. No charcoal, no lighter fluid, just real fire and smoke.

I have traveled extensively all over the country driving semi-trucks and searching for good barbecue and in the ten years I drove, I sampled a lot of BBQ, and very few places were ever put on my "must do" again list.

Those that were, I frequented often. I listened and learned from masters. I combined that knowledge with my years working in restaurants and formed Eat at Joe's Barbecue in Wikieup Arizona.

I believe we are the Best in AZ by far, and our customers tell us that frequently.

I am also a music fan, and musician. We have a pretty fun and extensive music selection constantly playing. Sound equipment abounds as we offer spontaneous live music, sometimes by myself or a patron/s stopping by.

People who play, are welcome to sit down and start something up. Open jams sometimes come out of nowhere!

We have just added a small stage to the restaurant, complete with PA system, lighting, and a handful of amplifiers!!!
