petFood was developed in November of 2008 at a Cuban Cafe somewhere in West Miami. It is the creation of Miami natives Jay-You & Lazaro Casanova. Musically, the releases will blur the lines between house, techno and minimal with a heavy Afro-Cuban influence. Expect loads of drums with a nice touch of vocals.
Our goal is to create and distribute forward thinking music in an effort to contribute to the same music that inspires us. While we have some established artists lined up for remixes and releases, we would also like to profile a whole host of new talent from around the world.
