Hey Jon, to answer your question, I still do a lot of hip hop production under the name OTOTEK. I make a lot of beats and use synths and samples just like I always did. These new songs are really a mixture of old and new things that I have been doing. I have always liked this kind of music as well but had no outlet for it. So, I would write a song like this and it would go nowhere. I got tired of it and wanted to not be stuck doing just one genre of music all the time(I get waaaay to many ideas for that. I'd go mad!) So, like I said, I still use OTOTEK as my producer name (You can check out some of that stuff on the Bodega Entertainment page in my top friends list if you are interested) but this stuff I'm doing now (when the album is finished and all is said and done) will be a mixture of styles from rap beats to electronica to rock and alternative music all rolled up under the same roof and hopefully with a sound all it's own and easily identafiable without sounding like I could'nt decide what kind of music I wanted to make! That's why I call it Beat-Rock music (also the name of the album I'm working on). As for the stuff I can't talk much about.......let's just say that a major T.V. station is involved as well as a major record lable...I've said to much...sorry for being so mysterious about it all. I just want to talk about it sooooooooo much but I can't.
Oh, and your friend has a good voice for the music you guys make. Let me know when you get that band together and put some songs on the internet. I would love to hear it!
Also, sorry about the length of this comment, lol!
Hey man. Yes, that's me doing everything on these songs. I played all the parts, sang all the parts, wrote all the parts (with the exception of the "My Girlfriend" song that I made with a friend) and produced everything on my computer. Thanks for the kudos! I can't say just yet but, there is a really really big big reason why I'm doing all this...Let's just say you may be one of many people who know my name by the time april or may rolls around... Sorry, it's just that I'm not at liberty to talk about it at length yet. details soon... In the meantime, I have to say it again that I love the music you have been doing. I like the vocals too. Nice touch.
Hey, OTOTEK here. Thanks so much for the add...again, haha! I know that this stuff is different from the electronica on my older page but, I plan to have some songs that incorporate all that stuff in there as well. Your stuff is cool as always, though. I like the things you've been doing lately. Nice vox, too!

Young Love and Twin are sweet man. Nice melodies. As always, I like the layers on top of layers kind of thing as that is what I do alot of as well. Do you have any hardware or do you do it all with software? Just wondering. Later man.
