"Bogosian's nervy yapping brings a quirky vibe to their mini debut while the rest of his bandmates keep up with an unshakable, raw power. From the angsty bass lines of "I'm a Carrier" and the post-punk punch of "Brown Boots" to the propulsive sass of "Sixteen," Eat Sugar combines bold, vigorous lyrics and upbeat electro-pop melodies." - Spin.com
"...a blinding US released EP." - Artrocker Magazine
"Yeah, it's youthful, spastic and riding a wicked sugar high. But Eat Sugar sounds like they're playing as if their lives depended on it." - Detour
"Eat Sugar's EP whets future fans' appetites with four electrifying tracks. The synthesized madness of the opening "I'm A Carrier," is a call to action on the dance floor. Contagiously catchy with the provocative forwardness of Death From Above 1979, Eat Sugar's "Sixteen" will have all the hipsters tapping their toes despite their pretension. Overall, this leaves listeners longing for more and pressing repeat." - The Big Takeover
"The end results of this ideal collaboration stand up to the best Electro Post Punk made today (in fact, they're often as good as anything created in New Wave's heyday). In just four songs, Eat Sugar has made one of Cincinnati's most impressive recording debuts of 2007." - City Beat
"While the combustible nature of this down-and-dirty debut is distilled into a mere four-songs, the energy, conviction and passion screams volumes. Damn the cavities, Eat Sugar is one record you'll want to sink your sweet-tooth into. - ConcertLivewire.com
"Check out a band with some great energy and a thick pulsating sound..." - Each Note Secure
"The disc features four songs (including hit-single-worthy "Sixteen," which also spawned a super-fun video) that will rock your iPod and leave you wanting more." - Cin Weekly
"Eat Sugar features some local Indie vets who have combined to create an exciting brand of Electro-fused Indie New Wave. The tracks on the band's MySpace site are propulsive, danceable herk-n-jerk Post Punk that bring to mind the early records from Dayton's legendary Brainiac." - City Beat
Eat Sugar has played with the following bands: The Presets Voxtrot Calla VHS or Beta Electric Six Gil Mantera's Party Dream Ssion Enon The Death Set A Place To Bury Strangers The Faint
i love the new music. Just saw you guys on the cover of City Beat, along with Scotty B. dancing in the backround, pretty awesome if I do say so myself! :)
My three year old, has just made eat sugar his favorite band. He's got good taste in music, up until yesterday his favorite was the ramones.
Yesterday, in the car, he asked where I bought the CD.... so I explained about going to a show, his response was "well can I come watch eat sugar play the cd too!?"
i seriously just showed up to the blue bar thinking i'd see some good music, and maybe shake my ass. but instead i think i saw good ass and shakin music?
sorry I missed you guys last month! Raincheck on cheezy 80's flicks. Welcome still anytime, looks like the band is picking up shows and momentum..glad to hear! any plans for a spring/summer tour?
