"This is it – the final night of our Sounds Like Summer Concert Series for 2008. It’s been a great year of great bands, and we’d like to go out with bang – so we called up the Eau Claire Blues All Stars. Comprised of local music scene veterans, the All Stars contain members of the area’s finest bands, both past and present. Each member of the ensemble is a master with his instrument, as well as a martial art – everything from traditional kung-fu to Cantonese underwater knife fighting – ensuring a musical butt-kick factor of 100%."
Here is a sample of the article…“The Chippewa Valley has the worst case of the Midwestern Blues, Adrian Klenz (vocals) and a cast of the Valley’s most seasoned blues guitar and horn players… escaped in a fierce and hard fought voter-based competition, to victory. The Eau Claire Blues All-Stars has been a leading force in one of the area’s biggest and most celebrated genres of music, one that continues to spark wave after wave of new musicians and fans.”
Thank you to all followers and supporters!

"Take a smattering of some of the area's most seasoned rock and blues musicians, add a hot horn section and a touch of indie cred, and you get the EC Blues All-Stars. A favorite of the concert series and various local festivals, the All-Stars know how to heat up an outdoor party."

In 1996, EC was the sight of a blues explosion. The Crawlin Kingsnakes slithered onto the scene bringing with them a unique blend of blues, rock, funk, and jazz. The band played hundreds of shows over their 6-year existence including a few at First Avenue in Minneapolis. They opened for the likes of Junior Wells, Robert Guitar Junior Johnson, and Howard and the White Boys. In 2000, their debut CD Foolin Yourself made waves in the local scene. Like any good story, the Kingsnakes came to an end in 2001.
Like the Phoenix from the ashes, many members of the Kingsnakes heeded the call of the blues and re-formed as the Eau Claire Blues All-Stars. The first show was in January of 2002 at the House of Rock. Since then, the All-Stars have whipped crowds into a punch drunk state of blues bliss. This crew of seasoned musicians bring decades of stage experience and are sure to leave you begging for more.
