Alex Zhu was born on the 28th of January, 1983 in Beijing, China. He moved to the US when he was a young teenager and came to Australia in 2005. While studying at the Australian Institute of Music majoring in audio engineering, Alex Zhu worked in a commercial recording studio where he collaborated with Tarisai Vushe, an ex top 5 Australian Idol from 2007. He was trained as a classical pianist when he was a child. His music crosses all genres, cultures and has no geographical boundaries. Alex Zhu is currently creating compositions for various short films.
