Brandon Collins has been dutifully performing, teaching and recording around Charlottesville his entire life. Mostly Cello... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. I am a member of the amazingly talented, handsome, stupid, schlock n roll acoustic duo BARLING AND COLLINS, or B.C. to friends, have been playing Cello and Singing with my pal Stephen Barling for 11 years now, good grief! Also Cellist for ACCORDION DEATH SQUAD-Ratsylvanian style gypsy/balkan band, whatever that means. Occasionally you can find me ..boards-JX3P-with my old chums Barling, Matthew Willner, and Kelli Strawbridge in our Funk/Rock/Robot Noise band the SHIT FROM SHINOLA. (extendo keyboard solo by yours truly) .. .. .. .. .. Sometimes I rock with MARK ROCK on Bass and Cello, and have taken to rolling with KEITH MORRIS ..o and Keyboard. Lest I forget the smooth dinner crowd pleasing DEVILISHLY HANDSOME TRIO where I play Cello and Piano. I have had the pleasure of serving in a whole bunch of other projects over the years on various instruments. I have been honing some SOLO MATERIAL in the hopes of recording an all out Cello c.d., coming soon. TEACHING wise, I do younger folks Piano, Violin, and any style and level of Cello, and I play all kinds of other instruments including autochethon! I am on records by Barling and Collins, Atsushi Miura, Accordion Death Squad, Keith Morris, Mary Gordon Hall, Nickeltown, and Matthew Willner.

My cello style is somewhere smushed into blues fiddle style, romantic era classical, rock n roll, funk and eastern influences, I sure do love sawing away in thumb position and the funk comes through in my pizzicato style bass lines- think not Yo-Yo MA but..... YO MAMA ..........................
