In December 2004, I lost the source of my inspiration to become a guitar player. I went to school wearing a shirt that had Dime holding a gun in his hand, playing his guitar on fire, and he was a skeleton. Little did I know, that I would find out that this awesome human being was taken away. He will always be my hero. In memory of him, I will never put my guitar down again. When I see ya in heaven Dime, we are gonna shred in God's chamber along with all the other greats. R.I.P(-Joey)
A year ago today, this guitar hero and legend was shot and killed while playing in a concert with his band Damageplan in Columbus, OH, when "fan" Nathan Gale let out five shots into Dimebag after jumping onstage.
