CASTING INFORMATION FOR Launch My Line
CASTING FASHION DESIGNERS
Bravo's latest creation, "Launch My Line" is a new trend setting fashion design show to find and launch the next hot fashion designer!! This show will feature 10 established designers who will be paired with well-known individuals who are highly regarded in their own field of expertise. (i.e; architect, interior designer, fashion editor, model, actor, photographer) Each week, the teams will create garments and ultimately the winning team will be determined.
NOW CASTING FASHION DESIGNERS (WOMENS WEAR*) FOR A CHANCE TO EXPAND THEIR CAREER, GET IN FRONT OF A LARGE CONSUMER AUDIENCE AND A CHANCE TO WIN A CASH PRIZE!!
*We are primarily looking for women's wear designers, but we will consider other types of fashion designers.
HOW TO APPLY:
To be considered for the show, you must meet the following eligibility requirements (and others which are set forth in the Application):
* You must be at least 21 years of age as of March 20, 2009.
* You must be either:
1. a legal resident of the United States and able to legally travel to any foreign country in connection with your participation (if any) in the show, or
2. able to obtain the appropriate visa or waiver to enable you to stay legally in the United States to participate in the show and be able to legally travel to any foreign country in connection with your participation (if any) in the show.
* All applicants must be able to construct garments from conception to construction, including being able to sew.
OUR APPLICATION PROCESS CONSISTS OF TWO PARTS:
PART 1: A completed and signed application form (including recent resume, photo of yourself, signed certification of veracity, and a photocopy of your Driver's License or government issued Photo ID). The application is available for download at the link below

PART 2: (Attend an Open Call and/or submit a Home Tape) You can attend our casting call in Los Angeles to meet with our casting directors and fashion consultant!* IMPORTANT INFO: You must bring 3 articles of women's wear clothing that best showcase your work as a designer as well as a portfolio and your completed and signed application (including current work resume, photo of yourself, certification of veracity, and a photocopy of your Driver's License or government issued Photo ID) to the casting. HOME TAPE INSTRUCTIONS
Send us a 5-10 minute VHS, DVD or MiniDV videotape (NO Hi-8 TAPES) showing us WHAT MAKES YOU - YOU. Make your video as personal as possible. We recommend that someone else record you so you do not just walk around behind the camera. We want to see your face and not just you showing us something. Make sure we can see and hear you clearly. Please do not edit your tape, we prefer you send it "raw." Be as creative, big and bold as you can! There is no "right" or "wrong" thing to say on your tape, we just want to get to know you.
Remember, we need to SEE YOU IN ACTION and we want to see your PERSONALITY!!! Show us what is important to you as well as hobbies and what you are passionate about. If you have medals/awards show us. Brag about yourself!! If you do not tell us...we'll never know.
POINTS TO HIT: Start with your name, age and hometown. Explain why and how you got into fashion. What inspires you? What are you most proud of? Show us your work!! (Ex: Take a few of your favorite pieces and explain how you completed the project) In addition, describe how successful you have been as a fashion designer. (Ex. Have you had your own line, etc?) Are you different at work than you are with friends/family? If so, how? What sets you apart from other fashion designers? What type of notable person could you see yourself being paired up with on the show?
The home tape must be original, truthful, unpublished, created solely by the submitting applicant, must not have been submitted in any other competition, and must not infringe upon any rights of any third party, including, but not limited to, copyright, trademark, and rights of privacy and publicity. In addition, your family must be the owner or legal lessee of the home or property depicted in the home tape, if any. You must have the right of the person that tapes you to grant all of the rights set forth herein. The home tape must not include any music or singing.
The home tape will become the property of Producer and will not be returned to you, whether or not you are selected as a contestant.
> DEADLINE: Completed applications and home tapes, if applicable, must be received by February 27,2009 at 12:00 PM ET to be considered.** Remember, the earlier the better. **The Producer reserves the right to extend the application deadline in its sole discretion.
> Please clearly label the tape, as well as the tape case, with your name, phone number and the letters "HT"
> MAKE A COPY OF YOUR TAPE TO HAVE FOR YOURSELF IN CASE ANYTHING SHOULD HAPPEN TO YOUR TAPE.
