    Born in Washington DC RADIO RAHIM grew up in a multi-cultural home. Rahim's mixed ancestry includes Native American leader Osceola and Persian mystical poet Sayyid Razi ad-Din Artimoni. While in middle school in Tokyo, Japan he met Krant who challenged him to sing the vocals for "Stairway to Heaven" (Led Zeppelin) in a high school talent show. This event would spark his love for live performance. In the years to follow, Rahim rapidly began writing and performing as often as possible. Returning to the Southeast to complete high school, he hit the emcee battle ring, continued his love for theater and painting, and worked with DJ Kurfu recording and performing. Hosting a college radio show was a platform he used to share his material. Opening for Brother Ali, OneBeLo, RJD2, Blueprint, Sage Francis, J-Live and performing at Scribble Jam, his passion for spoken word flourished. By the time he graduated high school he had published his first book, "Necessary and Proper" and his first album "Borne Phoenix". In addition he starred in an indie film, and was featured on Turner South "My South Speaks" poetry TV series. After a brief hiatus from performing to acquire higher knowledge and travel around the globe, his second album "Let the People Know" produced by Chicago's legendary PANIK (Molemen Records) was released on September 1st, 2011. RADIO RAHIM works closely with Oppression.org, a site which for over 10 years has been raising awareness on issues ignored by mainstream media. Along the same lines, Rahim seeks to connect with listeners through his spiritual perspective and conscious lyricism.
