Eccotonic's debut CD "Flow Motion", available on iTunes, CDBaby.com and

Eccotonic is a downtempo/lounge/chill-out electronica studio project by noted film composer and recording artist Cato. Based in Los Angeles, California and influenced by LA's incredible variety of human culture, Cato still retains an artistic sensibility reflecting his European background, which includes numerous solo electronica/ambient concerts, DJ-gigs and scoring cutting edge, award-winning television shows. Mixing an eclectic palette of organic and electronic sounds, the music of Eccotonic represents the culmination of a body of work by Cato and his collaborators that spreads over the past several years. It is also a natural extension of his film scoring work, including the track "Cache"
that incorporates musical elements from the award-winning film of the same name, directed by Carolyn Coal.
Cato's collaborations with other musicians on "Flow Motion", most notably with singer/songwriter
Jenny Campmany, are usually heavily edited, sometimes distorted and
otherwise treated through his constantly evolving sonic signatures. These, along with his unique voice in composing, arranging and orchestration,
have already made Cato a sought-after creator of music for visual media,
having resulted in many scores for award-winning feature films,
documentaries, commercials and video games, including the opening music for
"Smokin' Aces" (Universal, 2007), the score for "Semper Fi: One Marine's
Journey" (Showtime, 2007) and the score for the Kevin Spacey production
"Mini's First Time" (HBO, 2006).
The music of Eccotonic has already been selected for CD-compilations (Pacha Ibiza's "Roof Terrace Vibe Vol. III"), licensed to network television (CBS/Paramount's "Girlfriends" on UPN), licensed to the 2009 Ford Focus campaign and played on famed Santa Monica, California radio station KCRW by Chris Douridas. "This is music for early mornings and late nights, for the office or for introspection. In other words, it’s archetypical downtempo/lounge, albeit with a slightly mellower feel than say Mono or some of Tracey Thorn’s work. The pastoral electronics on the CD are compressed, stretched, distorted, and squeezed, bringing out an unusual lushness in the music without veering into new age boredom. The beats are nicely interspersed; they don’t jar the listener from settling into the melody."

Flow Motion has beautifully arranged a collection of spirited down tempo/electronic emotions in his debut cd. The film composer & artist 'Cato' is probably more well known for his movie compositions; opening music for Smokin' Aces, Mini's First Time (HBO – Kevin Spacey Production) and so many other licensed materials to television and film. Being from Los Angles he has captured a wide array of soundscapes that has been accumulating over numerous years and has spawned Eccotonic.
