**Ecesu SERTESEN was born in 1987. She began clarinet studies in 1998 at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory with Feza ÇETİN. Following the 10 years of participating in orchestras spanning both school and professional areas, still pursues her musical path with chamber music and solo works. **With the reference of conductor Cem MANSUR, she joined the master course of globally famous clarinet artist Chen HALEVI, who was on a tour to Turkey to perform, consecutively in 2003, 2004 and 2005 . **She participated in two concerts under the organization by Katharina WEBER, Erika RADERMACHER, Elefteria ASKITOGLU and Pierre MARIETAN in Akbank Art Center between 17th - 20th October 2005, participating in Improvisation Workshops and on 21st October 2005, she performed works by John CAGE. **On 17th and 18th November 2005 she was awarded the third prize in “2nd International Young Virtuosos Competition” held in Lubomir Pipkov National Music School in Sofia the Capital of Bulgaria. **On 13rd - 17th May 2006 she entered "Jeunesses Musicales Music Competition" and she participated in the two special Masterclass actively. There she worked with Vlad WEVERBERGH, Cosmas PAPADOUPOULOS, Petko RADEV. **Preceding Sabine MEYER's Istanbul Concert in 2007, she worked privately with Sabine MEYER and Reiner WEHLE. **In June 2008 in Lübeck, Germany, she entered Lübeck Musik Hochschule's examinations and she was graded the highest score on entrance exams, consclusively, she studied with Sabine MEYER and Reiner WEHLE for a period of time. **During her studies with Ronald Van SPAENDONCK in 2008 Ankara Music Festival, she recieved high praises and was invited to Brussels Royal Academy. **In May 2008, at her graduation she performed A. COPLAND's clarinet concerto with the University's symphony orchestra with great success, at Istanbul Technic University's Mustafa Kemal Auditorium. **In June 2008, she graduated from Mimar Sinan University Fines Arts University State Conservatory with high grades. **Following her graduation, in September 2008, she auditioned for Istanbul State Opera and Ballet Orchestra successfully and started working as a tenured clarinet artist in this instituition. **Since her position at Istanbul Opera, she has participated in numerous concerts as a member of the chamber music groups, Academy Clarinet Ensemble and Art-Istanbul. **She did an exclusive interview by Serhan Bali, in the january issue of the most prominent classical music publication in Turkey, ANDANTE. **Currently under the Masters Programme at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory, Ecesu SERTESEN, continues her studies with her teacher Feza ÇETIN.

Klarinet eğitimine 1998 yılında Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı'nda Feza ÇETİN ile başladı. 10 yıl boyunca okul orkestrasında ve diğer senfoni orkestralarında görev yapan sanatçı orkestra, oda müziği ve solo olarak çalışmalarına hala devam etmektedir. İsrailli klarinetçi Chen HALEVI'nin, Cem MANSUR'un referansı ile 2003, 2004 ve 2005 yıllarında masterclasslarına aktif olarak katıldı. Ekim 2005 tarihinde Akbank Sanat Merkezi'nde Katharina WEBER, Erika RADERMACHER, Elefteria ASKİTOĞLU ve Pierre MARIETAN tarafından düzenlenen doğaçlamaya yönelik workshoplara ve ardından verilen John CAGE çalışmalarının içeriğinde yer aldığı iki konsere aktif olarak katıldı. Kasım 2005 tarihinde Bulgaristan'da, Lubomir Pipkov Ulusal Müzik Okulu tarafından düzenlenen "II. Uluslararası Genç Virtüözler Yarışması"nda 3. lük ödülü kazandı. Mayıs 2006 tarihinde Romanya'da Jeunesses Musicales Organizasyonu'nun yarışmasına katıldı. Yarışma süresince iki masterclassta aktif olarak yer aldı. Vlad WEVERBERGH, Petko RADEV ve Cosmas PAPADOUPOULOS'la çalıştı. 2007'de İstanbul konseri öncesi Sabine MEYER ve Reiner WEHLE ile özel olarak çalıştı. Haziran 2008'de Almanya'nın Lübeck şehrinde, Lübeck Musik Hochschule'nin sınavlarında en yüksek puanı aldı; Sabine MEYER ve Reiner WEHLE ile uzun bir süre çalıştı. 2008 Ankara Müzik Festivali kapsamında Ronald Van SPAENDONCK ile yaptığı özel çalışma sonrası çok büyük övgüler aldı ve Brüksel Kraliyet Akademisi Konservatuvarı'na davet edildi. 2008 Mayıs ayında İTÜ - Musfata Kemal Amfisi'nde A. COPLAND'ın Klarinet Konçertosu'nu başarıyla seslendirdi. Haziran 2008'de Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı'ndan yüksek derece ile mezun oldu. 2008 Eylül ayında İstanbul Devlet Opera ve Balesi'nin açmış olduğu kadro sınavını kazanarak kurumun orkestrasında klarinet sanatçısı olarak çalışmaya başladı. Akademi Klarinet Ensemble ve Art-İstanbul oda müziği gruplarının bir üyesi olarak bir çok konserde yer aldı. Türkiye'nin en önemli klasik müzik dergisi Andante'nin Ocak sayısında, Serhan Bali'nin yaptığı röportaj ile yer aldı. Şu an hala yüksek lisans çalışmalarını Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi Devlet Konservatuvarı Klarinet Sanat Dalı Öğretim Görevlisi Feza ÇETİN ile sürdürmektedir. ..
