Influences
Paul Waterman, Martin Jones and Tom Smith are all writing for Echo Park. Paul's songs tell stories and are edged by Martin's reality based lyrics and combine with Tom's blues feel - also shared by Ron and Steve. Influences include Glenn Tilbrook, Freddie King, Steve Harley, Paul Weller, Marcus Miller, Fender and Gibson guitars and making people dance. The latter shapes Echo Park's take on Mrs Robinson, Cross Cut Saw and other covers.
Echo Park are five London based musicians who know a good night out and can play and entertain. Martin and Paul started the band in 2006 and also began writing. Tom, Steve and Ron have joined with a shared interest in blues and R&B. Echo Park are the Friday night you always remember, the party you can't and gig to be at.
