Echo Son was formed in early 2006 by three musicians who shared the same vision. That vision was to create complex progressive hard rock... a sound that is dark, primal and sludgy and infuses odd time signatures with grinding guitars and pounding, driving rhythms.
In 2007 the band began the search for a new lead singer that would bring a new dynamic to their original sound. In former Emisis singer Brynn Robinson they found lyrical creativity and vocal range and power that would launch the most fertile songwriting period yet for the band.
The remainder of 2007 will see the four musicians craft all new songs that fuse deep musical tone and superb musicianship with haunting melody and abstract verse to create a sound that is all its own. In 2008 Echo Son will usher in a new realm of exhilarating live performances and intelligent songs to the greater Chicago area... The band will head into the recording studio in early January, so be on the lookout for new tracks coming soon... and be one of the first to catch this amazing band live.
