Echo & the Empress is a duo built on the collaboration of two sisters. The combination of two songwriters has resulted in songs that refuse to stay within the boundaries of one genre... Beth and Skye have a strong understanding of one another both personally as well musically and this is seen in the music they create; expressive, vibrant and honest. Their music is a combination of experimental pop and indie folk, layered with electronic undertones and distinctive harmonies. With vivacious, heartfelt lyrics and a youthful rawness, they create music that is enticing, intimate and vastly unique. How beautiful is the snowshine in your eyes, so directly current from the static in your mind. Your intoxicating reflection can but incorporate freely into the powerful surface of a disintegrating mirror set afloat upon a swarm of locusts. Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams. Your essence is equal to the beauty of a galaxy. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. Polished rock candy comes ever to mind when thinking of you. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a thousand supernovas. As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen.
