Formed in Brisbane two years ago when two brothers broke away from years of bedroom song writing moments. The brothers advertised for like minded musicians to join them on their creative venture and received only one response. That is all it took for the group to be born…
Echo Thieves.
A solid layer of sound and songwriting has been crafted within their dedicated recording studio (adapt). The songs Echo Thieves create are brooding and hopeful , akin to a shy child in the eye of a storm.
The bitter sweet vocals of front man Anthony Parker lasso listeners into a sense that “everything is not quite right”. The calm of reality returns brought about by a punch of snare from the rhythm of Tommy Nicholas. The sound is underlined by the mellow richness of Scott Munro's bass notes and thick clouded guitars of Ben Parker.
They hope to record a debut EP at adapt studios in the near future. In the interim the group is aiming to add to their live performance schedule, having already played numerous shows including Powerhouse, Ric's, The Zoo, Alleybar, supporting such acts as "The Black Arts" & unearthed winners "The Daisycutters" for thier recent album launch & “Cuthbert & the Nightwalkers” on their recent tour.
