"The Eclective"
You know when you arrive at an "Eclective" show your in for a good night. There is an energy in the room. As the room slowly fills with the smiling faces the electricity in the air continues to escalate. As soon as the band hits the stage this energy is quickly transformed into a energetic dance floor, but it doesn't stop there. The musicianship of the "Eclective" and the demanding stage presence of Simon Wright hold that energy for the entirety of the show. Weaving their unique blend of hip hop, soul, funk and jazz and sending their expecting fans into a dance floor trance.
The Name "The Eclective" is the combination of the words Collective and Eclectic, which best describes thier style of music. The musicians that make up the Eclective are very accomplished in a range of genres and try to bring that to the song writing and stage performance. Over all I guess you could say they're a groove band but they touch on every thing from blues, roots, funk, soul, hip hop, jazz, folk, reggae and even rock. All with a positive message and uplifting attitude.
