The "Eclipse" project was created a with an intention to mark the astrological event: total eclipse 11. aug. 1999, when we decided to pay a tribute to PINK FLOYD by playing entire legendary album "Dark side of the moon" live. The event took place on an idyllic location, between two rivers of Soca and Tolminka, in the very west of the country, near border with Italy.
Originally just the one concert was planned. But eventually the interest of (at first ) local media and demands of the fans led to more and more shows, constantly challenging the group members to extend the repertoire and adding "new" songs, including albums such as The Wall, Animals, Wish you were here, Ummagumma, A Momentary lapse of reason, Division Bell, Pulse. Today Eclipse is a real Pink Floyd tribute band with shows lasting for nearly three hours.
The music is being performed with an effort to aproach as close as possible to the original Pink Floyd sound using a wide array of sounds and instruments ( mostly keyboards and syththetisers) from that era.

Against all the expectations the project still lives up to date, for over 7 years, during which only one member left the group for medical reasons (they DO play loud...). The interest in live performed Pink Floyd music does not seem to fade, regardless the fact that there are lots of their original live recordings available. A live show is a live show afterall - especially now when it is already pretty clear that PF will NOT be playing togehter again.
"Eclipse" play mostly in Slovenia, sometimes Italy, but we are for unknown reasons :) exceptionally apreciated in Croatia.
