Biography

The Band started in 1999,and it’s currently composed of: Helena Martins (lead vocals), Hélio Valisc (guitars and backing vocals), Guilherme Bollini (guitars and scream vocals), Eric Zambonini (bass) and Tiago Catalá (drums).

ECLIPTYKA has an unique sound with remarkable melodies, dynamic vocals by Helena Martins and Hélio Valisc along with aggressive vocals by Guilherme Bollini, creative riffs followed by strong drums and bass tracks.

The band is influenced by many Metal sub-genres, such as Power Metal, Death Metal, Prog Metal, Melodic Heavy Metal, Metalcore and Hard Rock. The lyrics, as well as the band, aim at expressing feelings and ideas, altogether trying to convey awareness about current world issues.

The band has shared the stage with many well known brazilian heavy metal bands, such as Dr. Sin, Tuatha de Danann, Hellish War, Mindflow and others, and took part in many important shows through many cities in São Paulo state.

At the end of year 2007, the band released its first demo-cd called “The First Petal Falls”, totally independent. The cd has five songs: “Wept Tears”, “Time Makes us Free”, “Feelings From Destiny”, “Rest Warrior” e “Unleash Me” and a multimedia track with the video clip “Unleash Me”.

In July 2008, the band went on a tour through Europe, mainly Germany and Belgium, where it took part in great festivals with many important bands such as

Orden Ogan for example. The tour had a very great response from the audience as well from the international media. The band granted interviews to Brazilian TV programs, radio shows and was considered one of the best national bands of 2008 by the columnist Costábile

Salzano Jr from TV Tribuna. The band ECLIPTYKA took part in many great Brazilian festivals and recently was the support band for the Dutch band Delain in São Paulo.

Nowadays, the band is working on the production of its next album called ‘’A Tale of Decadence’’, to be released on the December of 2010/January 2011. This album has a much updated concept, with lyrics about the destruction of the Planet by humans, cruelty against animals, politics and war.

The goal with these lyrics is to spread theses subjects, which are so urgent nowadays, and to make people pay more attention to them.

The main goal of ECLIPTYKA is to make music always with the best possible quality, aiming to get recognition, personal and professional fulfillment and, above all, express its ideas to the crowd.
