The band started its activities in 1998 and completed its line-up in 2005, which is consisted by: Ricardo Abatte (guitars and backing vocals), Helena Martins (lead vocals), Guilherme Bollini (guitars and backing vocals), Rodrigo Mathias (bass and
backing vocals) and Tiago Catalá (Drums).
Ecliptyka has an unique sound with remarking melodies, a dynamic woman’s
voice, creative riffs followed by agressive bass and drums. The band has a
lot of Metal styles as influences like Power, Death, Progressive, Metalcore,
Heavy, Melodic and Hard Rock.
Most of the lyrics are about life situations, some fictional and others
realistic. These lyrics and the band itself have the goal to express
feelings and ideas, as well as to make people understand and sympathize with
nowadays problems.
Ecliptyka’s main goal is to make music with the greatest quality possible,
looking for the public’s entertainment and support.
In december 1999, the cousins Guilherme Bollini and Rodrigo Mathias decided to start a metal band influenced mainly by Heavy Metal tradicional bands. Guilherme started to learn how to play guitar as Rodrigo did bass.
At first, in 2001, the band was consisted by: Rogério Malgor (vocals), Gabriel Pintucci (guitars), Daniel Grandotto (drums), Guilherme Bollini (guitars) and Rodrigo Mathias (bass). At that time the band played just covers from Heavy Metal bands. " Time Makes Us Free" and "Wept Tears were two of the first songs written by ECLIPTYKA. The band played at some birthday parties and at events in the region of Jundiaí-SP. Due to big disparity in the musical preferences and for some personal reasons, Rogério left the band.
With influences by melodic heavy metal bands, Helena Martins joined the band as the lead singer in 2002. As ecliptyka became more popular the band played at bigger events like festivals, bands battles and even events in other cities. ECLIPTYKA got the 4th place in a important local festival at 2002.
Because of personal and professional reasons, Daniel left the band and one month later, Tiago Catalá, introduced by some friends, joined the band. ECLIPTYKA had written 3 songs at that time: “Time Makes Us Free”; “Rest Warrior” and “Wept Tears”.
Searching for some heavy metal melodical music identity, ECLIPTYKA started to look for a keyboard player and met Luis Augusto Peres in 2004. Which then the band took some Prog/Melodic metal direction with its music and, at this time, 2 more songs were written: “Feelings from Destiny” and “Reign of Anubis”.
ECLIPTYKA got the first place at a big local festival. Gabriel decided to stop playing professionaly and left the band.
In 2005, Ricardo Abatte was invited to join the band. One more song was written in that year: “Unleash Me”. In 2005/2006 ECLIPTYKA took part of many important shows in São Paulo state, as an open act band for many well known bands and as the main band of festivals, concerts and Parties.
The band started to record its first EP in 2006 which contained 5 songs: “Wept Tears”; “Time Makes Us Free”; “Rest Warrior”; “Feelings from Destiny” and “Unleash Me”. In the same year, the band won a soccer competition against local bands and conquered the recording of a video-clip. The song chosen was “Unleash Me”.
In 2007, due to personal reasons and musical directions disparities, Luis Augusto left the band. Two more songs were written by the band: “Look at Yourself” and “Dead Eyes”. These compositions showed clearly the agressive and heavier musical direction the band wanted to take. In the same year, ECLIPTYKA website and myspace were made and the EP entitulated “The First Petal Falls”, with the five songs mentioned and the “Unleash Me” video-clip, was released.
ECLIPTYKA also made an Eurotour in July 2008, playing in countries like Germany and Belgium. The public's response was very good and the band made a lot of contacts and friends. The promise is to come back in 2010.
Nowadays the band is working with its EP distribution and booking for as many shows as possible.

ECLIPTYKA..s first demo-cd entitulated "The first Petal Falls" came out !!! It contains 5 songs: "Wept Tears", "Feelings from Destiny", "Time makes us free", "Rest Warrior" and "Unleash Me". The cd also contain a multimedia session with the video-clip of the song "Unleash Me" and some more extras !!!
