are a multi-cultural gathering of diverse people & music to celebrate our lives, lift the heart – infuse joy & healing, to honor our selves & our journeys & each other as living blessings, where each of us add to the whole, where our diversity creates our unity, & each of us make a difference by being a part of the experience!
MUSIC:
Luscious multi-cultural music from around the world is the muse for our movement - the music flow is a weekly creation in-line with the bodies energetic system offering a natural fall into ones own physical and sometimes spiritual or psychological dance journey, in hope of revealing a group state of unity, experience of oneness, & A GROOVIN Good Time:) If nothing else it can be a great source of exercise!

Ecstatic Dance Houston's Experiences are off springs of (or inspired by) The Group Energy, Body Choir Austin, Gabrielle Roth's 5 Rhythms, Vin Marti's Soul Motion, Dunya's Dance Meditation, Antara Dekanic's Kundalini Dance Austrailia, Frank Natale's Trance Dance, Pablo Bobio & The Silent Language of the Body- Argentina, Isadora Duncan & Ruth St.Denis' Spirit & inner directed movement, Anonymous groups, Rainbow Family of Living Light, and Earth Dance International, in a non-verbal & non-instructive environment created for the exploration of individual Freedom & personal growth processes that invite Love & Peace & Unity & Expanded Fun in our lives.
NEWS:
SunShine Jade & Kerry danced in a PBS TV Show with Mark Larson's Artery and a Different Kind of Monkey, AND our dance community was featured in a Platinum Award winning Film by Shawn Welling of Planet Funk called "HOUSE OF DREAMS"; the Planet Funk Story", It debued at the Houston World Fest International Film Festival Saturday Night April 21st 07 & was a sell out!!! YaY
