Ed's Blurbs |
About me:
I grew up in Guildford, and currently live in Cardiff. My first novel Beheld was recently published by Kennedy & Boyd and is available in lots of places ... I started writing it a few years ago and it's loosely inspired by some of the people I met and things that happened while I was at university. I'm about two thirds of the way through writing my next novel, so give it another year or so... I still have to have a dayjob as well to pay the bills so I can't put as much time into my writing as I would like.
Michael is young, too well off to have to bother to work, and bored. He divides his time between hanging around in the local pub, drinking too much and talking high-minded nonsense with his devious friend Julian, and having arguments with his girlfriend Sophie, frequently in the same evening. One night Julian gives him a capsule marked "TAP 100": Total Accuracy of Perception, he claims. Unable to resist, Michael takes it the folllowing day and experiences a moment of true perspective on the Universe: it is all just countless spinning shapes, with their own interplay in which he is barely involved. Interesting but hardly life-changing, he decides, when it is over. Rapidly Michael realises that there is more to TAP 100 than he first thought; his TV starts talking to him and seems to know more than him about what's going on. People are coming after him, serious people - with guns - who can come back from the dead. Michael, caught between the world outside and the world he's creating in his mind, is forced to take a stand against them. After all... it can't all be real, can it?. Some comments on Beheld:
"A black comedy piece involving drug malediction and dis/integration of perception- fun for all the family and a bloody good read! Highly recommended!" Sean Sansom
"A wickedly funny, contemporary tale that has you gripped from the outset." Lucy O'Brien
"The best read I've had in ages." Steph Austin
| You Are 55% Normal |
While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself
|
How Normal Are You?
| You Are 68% Sociopath |
The good news is that you're devastatingly charming.
The bad news? You mostly use those charms for evil!

| You Are An INTP |
The Thinker
You are analytical and logical - and on a quest to learn everything you can.
Smart and complex, you always love a new intellectual challenge.
Your biggest pet peeve is people who slow you down with trivial chit chat.
A quiet maverick, you tend to ignore rules and authority whenever you feel like it.
You would make an excellent mathematician, programmer, or professor.
|
| You Should Be a Science Fiction Writer |
Your ideas are very strange, and people often wonder what planet you're from.
And while you may have some problems being "normal," you'll have no problems writing sci-fi.
Whether it's epic films, important novels, or vivid comics...
Your own little universe could leave an important mark on the world!
|
|
Your Personality Is Like Acid
|
A bit wacky, you're very difficult to predict.
One moment you're in your own little happy universe...
And the next, you're on a bad trip to your own personal hell!
|
|
You Are 70% Misanthropic
|
Here's the truth: Most people suck. You are just lucky enough to know it.
You're not ready to go live alone in a cave - but you're getting there.

Who I'd like to meet:
