About Eddie Sugarman

Eddie is an award-winning lyricist who lives in Chicago with his awesome wife and two kids. He went to the University of Michigan, and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild and the BMI-Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Writing Workshop.

With composer Andrew Gerle, Eddie wrote the new musical MEET JOHN DOE, which finished a developmental production at Goodspeed Musicals in December 2006 and will receive its world premiere at the historic Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C. spring 2007. Check out the MEET JOHN DOE website.

Eddie has also written book and lyrics for THE GOSPEL OF GOLIATH (music by Jihwan Kim), KING OF THE PLAYGROUND (music by Bruce Kiesling), TO MAKE A KING (music by Jihwan Kim) and JOE & MARY (music by Sunmee Cho).

He also had the coolest job on Broadway when he was a stuntman in the hit musical RAGTIME.
