    .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. I was born in Cuba. Came to Miami in 1980. I studied Jazz guitar with George Aguiar and attended Florida International University where I got the chance to perform with many artists like Paquito D’Rivera, Tito Puentes, David Sandborn, Herb Elis, Arturo Sandoval and many others. I graduated from F.I.U. with a bachelor’s in music and I’m now music director at El Buen Samaritano Christian Church. In 2006 I decided to record my first self-titled CD. The musicians that contributed are some of the best musicians in town, Mike Orta on piano, Niky Orta on bass, Ed Maina on tenor, Abner Torres on drums, and Richard Bravo on percussion. There are many different styles on the CD. From Latin Jazz to Modern Jazz, the Cd contains 14 songs 4 of which are originals and the other 10 are old hymns that I arranged. I thank God for the gift of music and the opportunities he has given me.
