Metal Beard at Johnny Brenda’s: Another pre-MDF show by PDP showcases Antigama (grinders from Poland), Complete Failure (grind, USA), Secrata (Chicago) and Drugs of Faith (VA).
To record the guitars, it was my Engl Invader using Channel 2 with Hi Gain and Bright mode on one side, and the same but with Channel 3 on the other side, Channel 3 is a bit gainier and slightly scooped compared to Channel 2. All of it is with an Audix i5 and an Audix D6 doubling up for a bit of lower end.
All that is into my M-Audio FW1814, into Protools M Powered, which is then all quad tracked. I don't do anything less than quad tracking for my own stuff, I love it :D
Bass is just direct in with my OLP Stringray 5 string, bit of EQ and compression in PT :)
