EDEN BURNING has been on the scene in San Antonio and Austin on the live circuit since February 2006 . The band has been called straight up guitar rock by many in the music circles . In its two year span the band has opened for FASTER PUSSYCAT , LA GUNS, THE BULLETBOYS, WEDNESDAY 13, VAINS OF JENNA ,CREATURE FEATURE , ANTI-PRODUCT, DORO, VALIENT THOR, AIRBOURNE, ENDEVERAFTER, STONERIDER, BANG CAMARO , and DIRTY PENNY,have played Austin numerous times, were invited to perform at South by Southwest (SXSW) in March 2006 . There debut cd " BANGED UP N DIRTY " is due for release in early 2008 and will include many of the hits the band is getting known for including THE DRINKING SONG , SPYDERKISS, IF YOU WANT ME , DOWNTOWN , I WAS WRONG and the newly recorded HUNGOVER N HIGH
EDEN BURNING The BandVocals and Guitar - Phil Salazar: The bands frontman, guitarist, and sole songwriter. His influences range from power chord rock to raunchy sleaze. His unforgiving fire and passion he puts into each of his performances will give you 100% sonic rock n roll every time. Phil has a long history with the San Antonio music scene and is well known in music circles. Lead Guitar/Vocals - Matt Steele:comes from the band GIVEN and is also an accomplished songwriter, and guitarist. Matt is new to the band but not new to the scene, He has a track record of working with talented musicians who frequent the San Antonio scene and has the respect of his peers. He is curently filling in on the guitar slot for EDEN BURNING . Bass Guitar - Shaun Irey : A Sacramento California native who recently moved to San Antonio a year ago . Well versed on his instrument and a regular of the Hollywood Sunset Strip scene . Shaun has a fire with the influences of old school in him . Well schooled on his instrument, he is the animal behind the EDEN BURNING sound Drums - Doug Merritt: His stint in several area cover bands led Doug to want more from music and to play in a band with an original sound. His influences are simple and the theory of playing only what the song needs shows discipline and has worked for EDEN BURNING like a well oiled machine
