Rebembering classic divas of old, while pushing ahead to create new visions.
Music
Rock n' Roll, Swing, Rockabilly, dance music, breaks, house and ambient. I also love vintage Arabic Classical music from the 60's and 70's. I love the Strokes, the Killers, Felix da Housecat, Miss Kitten, Goldfrapp, The Horrors, Brian Setzer, Big Sandy, local LA Rockabilly/Psychobilly, honky tonk, country and anything my boyfriend is currently listening to. Too many to list. I am a caffeine addict, so I like my music to be around 140 BPM accordingly!
Movies
I like movies with fantastic costumes and sets like Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Showgirls and Esther Williams movies. I saw Flashdance at a young age and it made me want to be a dancer. I saw Return of the Jedi with "Slave Leya" who made me want to grow up to wear practically nothing all the time. When it comes to movies, eye candy, or stupid humor, to me is more important than story line. I like Charlie's Angels and Will Farrell movies. I also love little girl princess movies and, of course, anything with Anne Hathaway. I basically turn on TCM all weekend. No boring or sad movies, who wants to be sad?
Television
I love TV because I only have to pay attention for 30 minutes and get breaks. I like anything with dance: Dancing with the Stars, So you think you can Dance?, Step it up and dance. Search for the Next Pussycat Doll. I love Food Network because all I can usually think about are carbohydrates. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is my favorite. I love a good burger, fries and beer, but just try to get me to drink cheap champagne! I also love Top Model, What Not to Wear, LA Ink, the History Channel, and the Sci-Fi channel (thanks to my mom I know WAY too much about Star Trek!).
Books
Bukowski, Thoreau, Shakespeare, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Mark Twain, American colonial history, metaphysics, sewing manuals and cookbooks! Generally I prefer truth over fiction.
Heroes
Really anyone who follows their dreams and dares to be themselves. All these peole have: Bettie Page, Dita Von Teese, Ann Margaret, Isadora Duncan, Ruth St. Denis and Ted Shawn, Josephine Baker, Martha Graham, Joseph Pilates, Suhaila and Jamila Salimpour. Also the Pontani Sisters, Maragaret Cho, Stacey London (What Not to Wear), Christian Louboutin, Coco Chanel and anyone trying to help women find their right bra size. Last but not least, my sister, my boyfriend and my good friends Aubre and Coèl.

About me: I am a dancer--bellydance and belly-burlesque--a retro pin-up model and overall creative person. I have been in rigorous dance training all my life and love to express myself through the sensual movement and costuming of past and present. I put all of my energy into perfecting my crafts of dance and modeling. I do it for the love of it and hope to share it with you one day!
Performer's Bio:
Eden Lamour is a uniquely dynamic and exciting performer of today's belly dance and burlesque scenes. We are celebrating our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY and will be doing a show dedicated to the films of director David Lynch featuring burlesque acts inspired by each of his films from Eraserhead to Twin Peaks to Inland Empire. Even if you aren't a fan of David Lynch, there will be plenty of beautiful burlesque performers to enjoy on stage...in fact, we will have more performers onstage at this show than any other we've done, so please join us in celebration of our birthday and the ART of tease!
