General
The Nada Motel art event was a great success! At some point I'll probably post pictures and blog about it...or maybe not. In the meantime, here is a video/slideshow I made of my room. I shouldn't have put it up so fast, it needs work, but you know how that ADD/Need for Instant Gratification thing can be. I was so excited that my attempts at stop-action animation sort of worked (the beaded curtain & the bottle at the end), that I didn't realize they would look almost like the default transitions on the other pictures. Now I have to point it out to people and say, "Look, look! I did that!" I can't believe I've stooped to that level.
I tried to upload my video to MySpace, but they sent me a copyright infringement notice. Huh? Well, I used "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Starship as the music, which wouldn't be a problem, except that the song was used in a couple of The Simpsons episodes and MySpace flags it as an infringement on Fox's copyright. I wonder if Grace knows about this? So, here's the video via YouTube:

Everything from Secret Garden to Nine Inch Nails - frequently in the same playlist. I especially like songs in other languages, so I can't tell if the lyrics suck. I'm currently in an Electronica phase: Underworld, Juno Reactor, Klaus Schulze, etc.

Performance, A Clockwork Orange, Being John Malkovich, Fight Club, shorts by the Brothers Quay, Alice by Jan Svankmajer, Satyricon, Exterminating Angel (actually anything by Bunuel)... that sort of stuff
