What's up people? I am MC Kase. You ever have a wish that you thought would never come true? Well, I'm living proof that wishes can come true. There was a time a few years ago where people never thought I'd be able to do what I said I was going to, let alone survive another year to do it, but I did. I survived and I lived to make a few albums when folks thought I was a bullshit talker, just like people think you are. But you can prove 'em wrong.
You don't have to be from Queensbridge to bring that original style hiphop like it came straight out of the park, you just have to speak from the heart and learn all the facets of it. And you don't need to try and sound like anyone else, that goes for voice and beats. I almost don't even think of genres when it comes to music, because music is music. All the same laws apply to any type of music. Chords, notes etc are incorporated to everything and a well rounded artist can recognize this. If you aren't involved w/ the beat making process as a rapper or any artist, you're missing out big time. Trust me. It is a lot of hardwork, that's true, but it will only expand you as an artist and even as a rapper or singer, give you a full insight to exactly what it is you're fucking with.
Yeah, I had a hard life I guess. Everyone's life is filled with ups and downs and my downs were as deep as the Mariana trench. I don't like to talk about the darkness of my past too much, I honestly don't even feel like the same person. It doesn't even feel like it was me. I was lucky and am lucky to be alive, I will admit that.. What saved me? Nothing but myself. You gotta pull yourself up by the bootstraps in life and get on, because God, your family and your friends can't and won't ever save you.... Like that song by Stabbing Westward says "I cannot save you... I can't even save myself" Because, even though I'm doing well, I haven't saved myself. Just changed directions. No one can ever really be saved.The lustor and color of my past is just as rich and deep as the color of my future, and the colors are just different, but the brush is the same.
