"Edgewise, was originally created as a virtual gallery with art on display in windows around downtown Detroit. Created for for two reasons: to increase the presence of art in the downtown Detroit area and to provide select local artists with a space to showcase their work. A clever idea beneficial to both the City and its creative minds.
Edgewise now has a permanent home inside the Starbrite Theater at the Russell Industrial Center. Sharing the space with the Motor City Movie House, Edgewise has been a major showcase for performances and edgy art events.
