Through out L.A. I've performed with Dime Box, The Hello Darlin's, Dafni, Sarah Stanley, the mighty Wil Forbis, and Ghost Town.
About the tracks . . .
"Betsy" and "Up To Here" are the back porch, acoustic versions from Dime Box written by the infamous Kristi Callan (lead vocals, guitar). These two tunes also feature Pam Moore (of Madame Pamita's Parlour Of Wonders fame) on bass & low harmonies and myself on mandolin, fiddle and high harmonies.
The song "You Wouldn't Believe It" is from the virtual band Neb Crabula... band members are Greg Skillman: songwriter/guitar/bass/vocals, Adam Rabin: drums/mixing engineer and myself on fiddle/vocals. The three of us live in different time zones and record via email.
Crackerbone was my very first project here in Los Angeles with my best friend the Boneman aka Kevin Bone. "3,000 Miles" was one of the Crackerbone tunes I wrote and recorded on a portable digital 4-track. That's me singing and strumming the mandolin along with the Boneman on drums, Dave Ivie on bass and Scot Lang on guitar. It's a very primitive DIY recording, but figured "What the hell!"
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
Nice seeing you Sat evening. Thanks for the good word about the howling; if you like that, you should hear me do "Werewolves of London" sometime... Your mando & fiddle sound really sweet on the songs here.
Hi Edie- Sorry for posting this as a comment instead of sending an invitation…we’re too stupid to figure out how to send an event invitation! The Ridge Route Romeos are coming to Ronnie Mack's Barn Dance on Tuesday, July 7 for a set of songs about drinking, bad decisions, and degenerate behavior. We'll be featuring special guests Marty Rifkin on steel and John Groover McDuffie on guitar. Fun for the whole family, as long as the whold family is over 21 and not confined to the trailer park by an electronic tracking device! There will be 5 of the finest roots-music bands in LA, with the all-star Barn Dance Band kicking it off at 8:30. The Ridge Route Romeos take the stage at 10:30.
