Edison Freeman- Vocals, guitars, keys and harmonicas
Born to native Texans, but raised in Los Angeles, Edison began to play at age 5, on the lap steel guitar, and by the age of 16 had added all types of guitars to his repertoire, as well as bass, drums, piano, trumpet, and harmonica. Edison had a billboard top 100 hit in 1970 with a band called "Kingdom", possibly the first true progressive rock band in the USA. "Kingdom" was produced by Barry Hansen, the man who became famous as "Doctor Demento".
Always in love with the blues, a turning point came for him when he was invited to be the bassist for Stan West, an extraordinary bluesman and slide guitarist from the Los Angeles area. For the next 3 years he was immersed in the blues, sharing the stage with many major artists until returning to the spotlight as a frontman .
After woodshedding for the last 8 years in Texas, building a hi- tech recording studio and writing many fine new songs, his dream band has become a reality.
Randy Rice - Bass and vocals.
When Ed met Randy at the age of 13, they formed their first serious band. Randy and Ed went their separate ways then, and Randy went on to great success as the bassist for Eric Burdon from 1972-75. Randy also recorded with the Rubber City Rebels, and is featured on the soundtrack of the cult classic film "Echo Park" as a member of Jimmie Wood and the Immortals.

Marla Wilke - Vocals.
After being the queen of Texas karaoke hosts for over 10 years, Marla made the jump to live band work easily. A real natural, and the harmony blend of Ed and Randy with her is eerily good...
Bob Wedword - Drums.
A trained musician, multicapable on several instruments. Fast hands, and a charming wit keeps us on time and smiling!
Gene Stewart - Guitar.
Our newest member, Gene is our lead perfectionist! Influenced by Santana and Gilmour, his leads are deeply emotive, with great, memorable melodies. Welcome Gene!
Influences
my own spiritual path and my sense of destiny, my family, the feeling of a steamy gulf of mexico breeze pushing on my body, the smell of a deep pine forest, the look in that special woman's eye when she says "I love you..." that lets you know she really means it...the great injustices of humankind, and the sheer destructiveness of the species...history...philosophy..religion...technology...the future...space...inner space...metaphysics...psychology...crime...sickness...joy...ecstasy....................my musical influences are varied, from classical to big band stuff, and jazz combo stuff like Miles Davis in every incarnation he had, creating great bands in the wake like Weather Report and Mahavishnu Orchestra. from rock i was first a fan of the Beach Boys, then the Stones, next the Yardbirds and Eric Burdon, and finally the Beatles when I heard "Rubber Soul". My first influnces however were country, thanks to my Texan parents, and it was seeing Johnny Cash on TV when I was 5 that set me down this road...

Edison spans many genres from Southern Rock to New Age and does so with an obvious passion for all of them. Anyone who has listened to any of Ed's live performances knows he plays and sings from deep inside with amazing intensity. Oh did I say anything about Texas Blues?...well like Bullwinkle says "Ya gotta Listen!"

Edison Freeman is the truly rare artist whose musical voice sums up an entire timeframe and region. An intense and creative artist, who knows as much about his classics as he does about blues and rock, his music is intensely personal, but reflective of an intuitive mind and creative energy. His vision is never easy, at times quite cynical but always sincere and reflective of his reality as a musical artist in the American South at the beginning of a New Century where nothing is certain. I can't imagine why this man isn't famous. I'm an addict. Highly recommended to all.

These days it’s getting harder to find good original music that is all played on real instruments. Edison Freeman is one of the hold-outs in that respect. He plays several instruments and plays them all well. He can belt out the vocals too. His music is completely “real.” I like that a lot. It’s refreshing.

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
