lighting designer-operator/ and roadie/ young french lady/ living in Ireland since september 2004/ living in Dublin since july 2005.
Born in Paris, well not exactly, in the North suburbian area (you remember where the 2005 riots began, yep that's the place... ;-). Moved with my parents in Lusigny, then Saint Hilaire, then Moulins (all situated in the crappy department of Allier).
I probably discovered music when I was eight years old and told my parents I wanted to take piano lessons. I became aware of the existence of bands on the radio when i was 11 and I became a big fan of a French rock band –Noir Desir- that I still like nowadays. While in secondary school, I was playing the piano, listening to the radio and buying cds. On my first year in high school, I went to my first concert which confirmed my interest. From then, my passion for music started to grow.
I moved to Clermont-Ferrand (Puy de Dome...take a map of France and look for mountains at the centre, yep it's right here!) for my studies (Anglo-Saxon, Celtic literature and civilisation degree).
Then to Ireland, Corcaigh to study for a year (Master about the Irish identity through rock and singer-songwriters from the 80ies to nowadays...pffff).
And finally here I am in Dublin: working from august 2005 to august 2006 in a fantastic call centre *cough* and going to night courses about electronic music production.
I found out about a full time course in live sound engineering and lighting designing and decided to quit my job, take a loan and do really what I want to do: work as a technician in the music industry! OH YEAH!
“From all the jobs the one I choose is music, Cansei de Ser Sexy “music is my hot hot sex”.”
