I enjoy improving the communication value of the written word. I'm relatively fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking). Can manage in basic Russian, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish. Moving toward doing more editing, writing, and consulting in marketing communication (marcom) and copywriting for industries that can use my background in high-tech, biology, chemistry, and multi-cultural communication.

Here's something I've been working on--sort of an experiment: The Squidoo Sites--I'm still playing with it --and having a lot of fun with it as well... I'll probably be *blogging* there in addition to *blogging* here.... I just hope I don't get *blogged* down. :-)

A new note for today--someone (you know who you are!) introduced me to this new weird way of blogging called "Squidoo"... As a writer, I like to write. As someone with a severe case of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), my interests (*urk, is that a squirrel?*) run between everything and anything. Put the two together and I write about darn near everything and anything. If I didn't have a starting case of carpel tunnel syndrome (CPS) I'd probably be more dangerous and would be burning up the keyboards. This being said, you can check out my current batch of Squidoos (this is a sneaky way to get the attention of an ADD marine biologist, eh?):
