   About Ed Marrow

Hi everyone! I'm a 54 yr.old drummer/songwriter from the San Fernando Valley CA. I specialize in Traditional/Smooth Jazz, Funk, Progressive Rock, Pop, and World Beat. My influences range from Jazz and Classical to Middle Eastern Raga's to Bubblegum pop to Techno.

In the past I've appeared on such radio stations such as KWEST, KROQ, KTIDE. My current CD is on UK, Australian, German not to mention American Radio/internet radio.

I've performed for many years all over southern California playing in local bands such as "Crossfire","The Fents","The Works","Tod Trager"and many others. I also have played in Las Vegas and Australia.

I'm the step-son of Blues legend the late Bob Hite, lead singer of "Canned Heat". I've played/toured/recorded with some really great musicians, such as Goodie Williams (an avante-garde jazz guitarist/koto player who worked with members of Hiroshima), also "Adam Holzman "(an amazing keyboardist and band leader for the Miles Davis band), Mike Willis my current guitarist played with The EYES and the Space Rangers and is listed in the Who's Who of Rock & Roll. You can hear Willis on" P.O.P.".

My current CD "Of the Heart" is my first attempt at doing it all. A true indie project. The art/music and recording were done by me (and Mike Willis on Time waits for No Man) using a Fostex VF80 and a PC. Songs such as Station X were performed by myself on a Yamaha DTXpress electric drum kit and a Roland GR30 guitar synth; no other instruments were used, this has never been done before!

By the way, I am available for local tours, residencies & internet type projects-ED
