About me:
I am from Detroit. I have been a professional musician since age 12. I play drums,classical and world percussion,piano,guitar,bass and I sing. In addition to studies at The University of Michigan, I studied at The Berklee College of Music, in Boston with Alan Dawson. I have performed and recorded with an amazing list of musicians including members of The Funk Brothers, George Clinton, and The Boston Pops. My current project is recording with Eddie Kohen, and Rodney Shannon; Engineer and Mixing. I relocated to Los Angeles. I teach Instrumental music at Westchester Lutheran. I teach percussion at Juan Cabrillo Elementary, Malibu Junior High, and Malibu High School. I am the director and founder of the Malibu Shark Drumline and the Malibu High Percussion Ensemble. I teach drums at GC Studios in Woodland Hills. I began playing and singing in church while still in elementary school. I have led and played in worship bands at Bel Air Pres, Malibu Pres, Malibu Vineyard, M.C.C. Agoura, and other L.A. churches. I am the Music Director at The Bridge Church in Santa Monica. The kids you see in this photo were taken outside our orphanage in Ethiopia they desperately need our care and want to be a part of our programs there, we provide care for homeless “street kids” including food, shoes and clothes, school scholarships as well a soccer league to help keep boys out of the street gangs and the drug dealing life style which is at epidemic proportions in Adis Ababar, please join our cause.
